Reasons and Value to be an Agricole.
Rum made from fresh sugar cane juice pressed within 24 hours of harvesting.
We make “Rhum Agricole”, which is said to be only about 5% of the world's rum.
Most of the rum is made from the blackstrap molasses produced during the sugar manufacturing process. On the other hand, agricole rum is made from fresh sugar cane juice. Sugar cane juice is fermented with yeast and distilled to make“Rhum Agricole”.

Because we grow our own sugarcane, we are able to produce “Rhum Agricole” all the way through.
We handle everything in-house, from the selection of the raw sugarcane variety, cultivation, harvesting at the best time, to pressing, fermentation, distillation, and bottling.

The company that makes ARCABUZ
"ARCABUZ" is the Portuguese word for matchlock gun.
Matchlock guns were brought to Tanegashima from Portugal, and a new era began in Japan. We also named our rum "ARCABUZ" in the hope that it will usher in a new era.
Daito Sugar Tanegashima, which has a base on this island, manufactures "ARCABUZ."
