We manage the sugarcane varieties and cultivation, and spare no effort in every process, from harvesting by hand, squeezing the juice, removing the scum, and concentrating the sugar, in order to produce the finest sugar.


Sweet Potato business
ー

Annou sweet potatoes, a specialty of Tanegashima, are characterized by their moist texture and sweetness that makes them exude honey when baked. We produce baked and dried Annou sweet potatoes.

This is the Tanegashima subsidiary of Daito Sugar Co., Ltd., a Kanto sugar manufacturer whose forte is molasses sugar (sugar that contains the nectar of sugarcane). They produce processed products that utilize sugarcane, including premium sugar, which they grow from the source, sugarcane vinegar, and sugarcane syrup. They also process and sell Annou sweet potatoes, a specialty of Tanegashima.
They also work with sugar-related companies on the island to hold the Sugarcane Festival every November with the aim of revitalizing the region and promoting the sugarcane industry.
